Balloon Glow 2008

I have been wanting to post these pictures for a while. We went to the Balloon Race at Forrest Park last year with my Dad. This year, our neighbors, the Forth Family, asked us to join them for the Balloon Glow the night before the race. I hadn't been before, and it was nothing less than magical. It was a beautiful night and we took a picinic dinner and enjoyed the sunset, cool fall air and each other's company. What a wonderful evening!
Just before sun set

This was my favorite balloon. It looked like a beautiful mosaic all lit up

The Forths, Nancy, Dave, Audrey, Katie and Thomas

I didn't count how many balloons there were, but a horn would blow and they would all light the blowers at the same time. Walking among the balloons when they were all lit was gorgeous.

Looking at the crowds of people gathered for the ocassion

As we were walking away it was just amazing to see just how many balloons there were

All of the kids together :)
