Our little Strawberry

We had a great Halloween this year. It actually started the day before Halloween because of Charlotte's MRI. So, on Tuesday, we took her to the pumpkin patch to pick out a pumpkin and take some family pictures with her all dressed up. She did not like putting her costume on, and in her defense, the scratch on her cheek occured sometime while we were putting it on, so I probably wouldn't have been happy about that either. But, she was fine once we got it on.

I just love that big belly! (Maybe the biggest it will be for a long time).

After we went to the pumpkin patch, we took Charlotte to see her Grandparent's since we weren't going over there for Halloween night. Just so they could see how cute our strawberry was all dressed up.

I find this picture absolutely hillarious. She is watching for the very first time, the Peanuts "Great Pumpkin" movie on television. Aunt Sara read her the book last Halloween, but this year, she got to watch it herself.

How adorable are they?

This was taken on Halloween. We decided to bring her to the hospital all dressed up so my co-workers could see her, and so we could say she did actually dress up for Halloween. Aunt Sara worked the night before and stayed late, just to see Charlotte dressed up.

The MRI went well, and they did not find anything wrong with her kidneys!! YAY! The doctor wants to monitor her blood pressure, and finally determine if he needs to put her on medicine. There are some other labs that were taken that we don't know about yet, but we think this is just something that is ocurring because of when she was on bypass for her heart surgery. Ideally, it will fix itself. I also don't know about results from her brain and spinal MRI. Hopefully in the next few days...

Our neighbors, the Forths, were our first trick-or-treat gang. They look so adorable. Audrey (left) is the character from High School Musical, Thomas (middle) is a MU football player, and Katie (right) is a Giraffe. And in the back, Dave is good old Dad :)

On our way home from the MRI, Charlotte decided it was necessary to christen my car with her upset tummy. You can fill in the details yourself, but lets just say the event involved me pulling over the side of the road, yanking her out of her carseat, and holding her in the grass for a few moments... Wow, that anesthesia is strong stuff. And, then, a policeman stopped to ask us if we needed and ambulance! Thankfully, we were almost home, and knew that the queasy stomach would pass. When we got home, I put Charlotte in the tub, Chris cleaned my car. (Thanks Chris), and then we fed her and put her to bed at about 4:30. She slept until 7:30, and we thought if we didn't get her up and play with her that we would have a sleepless night. She was feeling much better by then, so she was able to play, and even had some pudding! Yummy! Gracie wanted some too...
Charlotte loves the Halloween book that Grandma Val got her. Her favorite page is the bats in the closet. She talks to that one every time! So cute...

I hope everyone had a happy and safe Halloween. We will keep you updated on any other news about Charlotte's tests.
